The Carey family

Our Story

The Carey family of Wild Atlantic Way Farm on the Belmullet Peninsula in County Mayo have been in the lamb business for 5 generations. Our lamb is reared on our family farm and on the Iniskea Islands where they are free to graze and where their diet and welfare are of the outmost importance.

The lamb is clover and grass-fed, with the natural addition of the herbs that can be found on the Belmullet Peninsula and Iniskea Islands which gives Atlantic Erris Lamb its distinctive flavour and what we are renowned for, allowing for full traceability, and also giving it a better taste and texture.

We offer full and half lamb products, traditionally matured and expertly butchered for the absolute best in tenderness and taste which is also Bord Bia Approved.
